Not again
I see it happening’
Growing cold
When did loving me get old?
Close my eyes
It was silly to think it’d be the last time
Tha I could stop
Loving you even if I tried
But I’m not in the mood for heartbreak
Though I know it oh so well
Don’t wanna relive all the mistakes
Where’s the love
That we once felt
How time flies
Somewhere along I must have realized
That we’d outgrown
Our love, our life and our home
But I’m not in the mood for heartbreak
Though I know it oh so well
Don’t wanna forgive all the mistakes
Where’s the love
That we once felt
Not again
I see it happenin’
And I’m not in the mood for heartbreak
Though I know it oh so well
Don’t wanna relive all the mistakes
Where’s the love
That we once felt

American Sweetheart
04:57
|
|||
Late night
Rollin’ slow
Around a town that I used to know
It’s been a few years now
But it feels like home
Take the corner a little too fast
See the blue lights behind you flash
When you’re nervous you still drum your fingertips onto the dash
Lookin out of the window and into the dark
Passin’ the sidewalk beside the park
Where your careless words went and broke my heart
And I holed up in my room for days
Wishin’ that there was somethin’ that I could change
Waitin’ on a white horse that never came
Sweep me off my feet my American Sweetheart
And crash into me
At some dirt road dive bar
Kissin’ in the street
Drive your 84 vintage sports car
Wild and free
All I see are the stripes and the stars
Right place, wrong time
They say lightning strikes just once, not twice
Then tell me why I can feel the sparks fly
Runnin’ stop signs, color blind
Brushin’ up on your hand, shift to overdrive
I don’t want to but the fast lane makes me feel like I’m alive
Sweep me off my feet my American Sweetheart
And crash into me
At some dirt road dive bar
Kissin’ in the street
Drive your 84 vintage sports car
Wild and free
All I see are the stripes and the stars

Sophia
04:12
|
|||
My dear friend lives in Paris Overlooking the Seine
And she writes me love letters every now and again
In the shadow of the Eiffel Tower
In the gardens at the Louvre
I can see her walking now under a pale crescent moon
Oh Sophia,
in shades of blue
Painted pictures of the city
Looking down on Moulin Rouge
Red wine in the morning, Caffeine to pull you through
Oh and I would simply walk for hours just to talk with you
Oh Sophia,
Leaving’s made me blue
And I hope your shade of lipstick brightens up your day
That the sun shines through and kisses you, unless you wished for rain
That the swans are swimming by your side
As you walk home from the train
Oh Sophia,
blue water’s all the same
Sophia I hope you’re happy
That everything’s bold and new
In the pleasant type of unfamiliar we grow accustomed to
Oh Sophia I hope you know that I always think of you
When dusk is finally falling
and the pink fades into blue
Oh Sophia, my muse
Oh Sophia, oh Sophia
Home misses you

State of Romance
02:08
|
|||
“But I guess you’ll see with time, which parts of these different relationships are important to you and, um, I definitely laughed at your messages when you’re talking about how you seem to like ‘can’t keep away from romance’ and I think that’s such an interesting quality you have, um. It’s just, it’s interesting, ‘cause I think a lot of people have this sort of drive to always think about romance, or really prioritize romance in their mind, but then, I think a lot people just don’t, for whatever, I think usually fear based reason, don’t end up having as many romantic encounters as they want to, um and I just wonder what it is about you that keeps you, you know, in a State of Romance. One thing I appreciate about it is your sense of wonder. I feel like you are always enjoying things as if they, as if they were new, when it comes to romantic encounters and the fantasy aspect of it for you, I think is really creative and interesting.
Anyways, go crush the interview, um I’m gonna pay rent in cash, um, and then I think I’m gonna walk up to Montmartre, which is like over an hour walk away, um, but walk up the steps and sort of overlook the city, and have a sort of ‘goodbye’ afternoon with the city, maybe buy myself some wine. Uh, I’m so pre-nostolgic and sad. Mmm.” -Sophia Cirignano

Leo Moon

Leo moon on an august night
Makes you feel alright,
If even for one night
One step short of paradise
I see it in your eyes
This could be the last time
Morning breaks and the tide is high
I got you on my mind,
I dream in lifetimes
A friend like you can be hard to find
You let me inside,
With you I’m entwined
But I’ve got wings,
That I keep in closet
So he won’t see
When the feathers fall from it
I need to feel free
And you shouldn’t feel haunted
Leo moon on an august night
Makes you feel alright,
If even for one night
One step short of paradise
I got it in my mind
That this is the last time
Cause I’ve got wings,
That I keep in closet
So that he won’t see
When the feathers fall from it
I need to feel free
And you shouldn’t feel haunted
But look at the constellations
We are running out of light
Without navigation
Chasing the skyline
Till daybreak you’re mine
Till daybreak you’re mine
Till daybreak you're mine
Till daybreak you're mine

Doesn't Hurt
03:25
|
|||
Come closer my dear
I wanna see your
Morning eyes as the sun draws near
And I could die today
If we stay right here
Be my sweet escape
Whisper in my ear
Tell me that it doesn’t hurt
Tell me that it doesn’t hurt
Tell me that it doesn’t hurt
Tell me that it doesn’t hurt
That love doesn’t hurt when it ends
Tell me that it doesn’t hurt
Doesn’t hurt
Tell me that it doesn't hurt
Tell me that it doesn't hurt
doesn’t hurt
Tell me that it doesn’t hurt x2

In Dreams
03:57
|
|||
“Over time I grew fond of the dark,
The company of the stars and fullness of the moon
The swell of the wind across the ridgeline
The scratch of barren branches
I built a castle out of votive flames
Made a covenant with the silence of night
Constellations stood guard at the horizon
And I, lay my head to rest in wait of fever dreams”
Do you still dream of me?
The way that I dream of you?
Held so tight in my memory
Please never leave
Somewhere in your arms
I found my peace
Grant me one last kindness
Give me some release
Do you still dream of me?
The way I dream of you?
Held so tight in my memory
I won’t let go of you

Silver Lining
03:35
|
|||
I said wait for the moment
You’ll see that something’s out of focus
But you walk beside me
Following blindly
Can it wait till the morning
Don’t give it away without a warnin’
I’ve got the melody
And you’ve got the minor key.
Heartbreak
When something has changed
What will remain?
Can we still stay the same?
I said look in the mirror
I know you once saw it clearer
Will you still hold me
Like the forest canopy?
Cause I have a heart in orbit
And like a shooting star you swore that
We’d we a symphony
Each note shining brilliantly
Spinning out through the galaxy
A resounding cacophony
The stars as our company
A divine source of symmetry
And in a thunder of timpani
Came the final epiphany
That…
I once had been dreaming
That the web that I was weaving
Was trailing behind me
And slowly unwinding
With no,
With no
Silver lining.
